  • dried red lentils 250g
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cups water
  • one carrot
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • one large onion
  • 1 cup rice
  • one large potato or sweet potato
  • 1 tea spoon black pepper


Stage 1

Cut the potato and carrot in small squares.

Stage 2

wash the lentils a few times then put them in a casserole and add cold water and a large onion (you can cut it in half if you want). Let it boil until a white layer forms on the surface, then remove the white foam.

Stage 3

Add the rice and the carrot and potato and to the casserole and let everything boil for 45 minutes.
