Very quick to make, spicy salad, perfect for lunch. Can be served hot or cold.


  • 1 portion Cous cous
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 stick Celery
  • 1tsp. Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Chilli powder
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1/2 Red onion
  • 1/4 Cucumber
  • 1/2 tsp. Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Sumac


Stage 1

Prepare the cous cous. Put 100g dry cous cous into a bowl, and fill up with 160ml boiling water. cover, and leave for at least 5 minutes.

Stage 2

While the cous cous is covered, begin to prepare the vegetables. Peel and grate the carrot, chop the celery, cucumber and red onion and finely chop/crush the garlic.

Stage 3

After the 5 minutes is up, place the cous cous into another bowl (where you will serve the food). Add in the prepared vegetables, and the spices.

Stage 4

Drizzle over some olive oil, mix, and serve.
