So easy to make with minimal ingredients and healthy alternatives to your usual "caramel" ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 10 dates
  • 2 heaped tsp. peanut butter
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil (melted)
  • 1/3 cup almond meal
  • 3 tbsp. water
  • 2 1/2 tbsp. cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp. rice malt syrup or maple syrup

Method

Stage 1

KISSES: Blend the dates, peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of water in a food processor until ingredients are well combined and mixture forms a large sticky ball. Add almond meal, 2 tablespoons of water, salt and process until combined. Roll into small balls and place on a baking paper lined tray.

Stage 2

CHOCOLATE: Mix the cacao powder, coconut oil and rice malt or maple syrup together until smooth in a small bowl. Drizzle mixture over kisses and freeze for 15 minutes before serving. Keep frozen.
