The veggie guy...

'I grew up in a vegetarian family and have been vegetarian all my life. Variety is important. I like soya-based foods and lots of lentils, with various types of pasta and wholemeal breads. Three different fruits daily are key to young-looking skin, and I love porridge with soya milk for breakfast. I tend to avoid dairy, but I'm not 100 per cent vegan. Sometimes I'll eat cheese, and eggs are okay if they're in some cake!

'Vegetarian food is the way forward for men, I feel, but not all men like this view! I used to advise guys to just stop eating meat, but I've realised that giving it up instantly is not a good idea. Now, I tell them to try at least one vegetarian meal every day, or to try to put more vegetables on their plates, and if they're trying to lose weight, I suggest they eat four types of fruit – papaya, especially, which has magical properties.

Men start to enjoy and understand vegetarian food when they're introduced to it gradually, and they will also appreciate it more when they feel less bloated and more energetic. Yoga complements vegetarian lifestyles perfectly. You feel lighter when you eat fewer animal products, and much freer to stretch and exercise well. When men experience this, they're much more easily convinced of the goodness of vegetarianism.'
