In a tangle

Question: I've heard you're not supposed to brush wet hair, but by the time mine is dry I find it hard to get a brush through. Any suggestions?

Sara Niven: You're right, it's not advisable to brush wet hair as it is more fragile and prone to breakage. Instead, try a wide-toothed comb on well-conditioned hair (a leave-in, spray-in conditioner may also help). However, my own coloured hair can
get very tangled, so I know the feeling.
I recommend the Wet Brush (from £11.99, available from stockists including Boots and www.lookfantastic.com), which I use on towel-dried hair before styling. If you have hair that is hard to brush properly even when dry, this is one of the few I've found that easily goes through tangled hair without pulling out large clumps!
